BC woman mauled by black bear in suburban garden

Neighbors who pelted a bear with rocks as it attacked a Coquitlam, BC woman in her garden are credited with saving the life of Katy Yin, 35. Yin suffered non life-threatening injuries, including a torn scalp and puncture wounds. The bear was killed by RCMP officers responding to Yin's 911 call. In The Province.
