Alaska sues Interior chief over polar bear listing

Images_2In a suit filed yesterday in Washington, DC, the state of Alaska seeks to reverse Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne's May 14 decision to list polar bears as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. "We believe that the Service's decision to list the polar bear was not based on the best scientific and commercial data available," said Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Via AP
