A 43-year-old Potter Valley, Calif. woman wounded herself and a male companion while trying to kill mice inside a travel trailer with a .44 Magnum revolver on July 3, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office. The gun reportedly slipped from the woman's hand and fired after hitting the floor, with the bullet striking the woman's kneecap, glancing off keys hanging from the man's beltloop, and through his pants, grazing his groin--before stopping in his coin pocket, where it was recovered for evidence.
