Home-invading bear shot by Colorado authorities

The Durango Herald reports that a Colorado Division of Wildlife officer killed a habitual home-invading black bear in Bayfield Wednesday. Marian Clementoni said the bear opened a sliding door and rummaged through her kitchen, eating some dinner rolls before leaving. When the same bear returned about two hours later, it was shot by a DOW officer who said the yearling had entered four other houses in recent weeks.
