SF real estate mogul indicted for poaching steelhead

Colorful and outspoken San Francisco and Las Vegas real estate tycoon Luke Brugnara was indicted by a federal grand jury last week for intentionally blocking the flow of Little Arthur Creek with a private dam on his 112-acre property in Gilroy and poaching endangered steelhead trout, a charge he vehemently (and profanely) denies. "I have friends who beg me to fly on their Gulfstream jets to go fly fishing in Idaho," Brugnara said. "If my agenda was to catch trout, I'd go fish with them." In the Mercury News.
