Texas police shoot rubber bullets to 'scare' coyotes
Police Chief Rick Pruitt told the Alamo Heights, TX, City Council Monday night that his officers have been instructed to fire 12 ga. rubber bullets into the ground near troublesome coyotes to scare the animals away from homes and neighborhoods. "We'll also get pain aversion if the pellet, dirt or pebbles hit the coyotes," he said. "Pain aversion?" Is that a scientific term? Reported in the San Antonio Express-News.
