Report: 555 die in 2006 ATV mishaps

A new report from the Consumer Product Safety Commission indicates that 555 people--including more than 100 children--died in all-terrain vehicle accidents in 2006, down from 666 the previous year. The data revealed that an additional 146,600 people were treated in emergency rooms for ATV-related injuries in 2006. Pennsylvania leads all states in ATV-related deaths with 420 between 1982 and 2006. Via AP and the Asheville Citizen-Times.
