Illinois DNR addresses mountain lion e-mail rumors

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has found it necessary to address recent Internet rumors being circulated claiming alleged photographic evidence of a mountain lion near Findlay in Shelby County. While the photos are authentic, they were apparently taken in 2001 or 2002 in Lander, Wyoming where cougars are common. Read the complete IDNR press release.
